Forks' Severence Offer

3 days out from Endvane on the return trip of our heroes' first voyage, the White Devil trailed behind the Boar's Bones tethered by a series of silk ropes. The riggings of both ships had been damaged in their battle a few days earlier, so speed was a luxury the two ships did not have. Still, those with salt in their blood knew land would be peeking over the horizon soon.

Mr. Forks was spotted around mid day edging along the tether. He came aboard and walked into the front cabin, motioning for James, Paolo, Jack, Pants, Kraetos, and Ozzy to follow. With the door firmly latched, Forks faced his six former crewmen and cleared his throat.

"We have options to discuss. First off, let's assume that our ships will be parting ways past Endvane this landing. We've recently been attacked by pirates. They were damaged and fled. We found your ship adrift and less lucky in regards to said pirates. Both ships damaged, we chose to link up for safety's sake, right? Sad that their cargo was liberated along with the souls of all but five crewmen. Either way, we'll be making another circuit to Lunderton before the winds shift, so we must be on our way. Besides, the longer we stay still, the bigger chance of the Briggand returning to haunt our legal business. We don't wish to be anywhere near that ship should Acuna's eyes turn back upon us.

"Second, there is money to cover. Our ship needs new sails. We need an anchor. And we have cargo yet to sell. If'n you'd be with us for shares of fruits' profits, you'll be waiting til we're done with accounting. Now, If'n you'd be willing to settle before mooring, we can talk now.

"you served to Lunderton, and while you didn't have need to know what we shipped, you stood the watch. We made 300 gold and paid out 50 for berthing. There were 1300 on cargo to J'bunga, 30 for berthing and 30 for protection. That's 1490 up to now, makin' shares about 15 gold apiece. 25% for the captain, 10% to me and again to Morello. Sixteen crew get a share each, that's 61%.

"There ye are lads, and the cap'n says I can buy ye off how I choose. I say 45 gold apiece to
the six of ye. Three shares. The Boar's Bones shall cede claim of the cargo bereft White Devil to her crew. If you'd stay til Endvane, we would cover docking fees as expense. We would ask for your efforts in making the Devil as low impact on the Bones' reputation there as possible, and you'd be honorbound to shepherd the cargo to sale if ye'd have a share of it.

"Well, what say ye?"

Doren Pride

On a scorchingly hot day in our tale, about a week into our players' first trip across the Great Sea together, the crewmen of the starboard ballista got an itch to do something besides skulk below decks with their shipmates. They were both from the farms just south of the Old Wood in North Doren. Neither had ever met a Lunderman, but they had been told of old by their fathers of how Great Lunder had cracked under the weight of Kor in the Old War. They had been taught of Lunder, cracked in half by a northern occupation, prideful yet hesitant with it's mighty navy, begging the old line of Doren to step forward to save it from destruction. Brians and Johns could not fail to notice that Barlycorn had stationed two Doreners on one ballista and two Lundermen on the other. They discussed later over ropes how it should have been one of each on each gun. A Lunder to load and a Doren to fire. So this day, laden with the weight of the sun, Mr.Johns and Mr.Brians mixed various paints from the rigging closet to produce the colors of their nation. In the space of an hour, their deck weapon was gleaming with the old red, yellow, and white. The captain cleared his throat behind the gunners as they stood back to admire their handywork.

"Aye, and be sure yer leavin' ample paint for the other. They'll be needin' it for their own white, black, and blue. And by the way, ye paint a part o' me boat without me own permission again, and ye'll be strippin' it with your teeth. In yer head still or not, yer choice. Now get outa the sun ye daft badgers!!!"

Constible Report 2855710 - Bar Brawl

Barkeep Statement, 2/5/11/1323
Maiden's Arms, Inway 2, Middle Wharf

"There was this dwarf that came in around lunchtime. Had a sack with him. He goes and he sits up in the respectable section and he puts his boots up on me tabletop. Before I can throw him out on his rump, he flashes a platinum piece. He says to me, 'Oy, can ye make change for this." And he just grins at me. So I made change for his coin and traded mead for some of it back.

"I had a fruit delivery coming in, so I lost track of the grotty little guy for a while. I was outside longer than I expected, blast it, and the sun was setting. That dwarf had a crowd of
scurvy dogs about him. A few of them was at the table with him. A ragamuffin, a brash rogue, and a kobald!! Bleedin' little bugger was swiping a dagger at this little gnome guy. Then there was this southerner, big one with harpoons in his bedroll. Tossed the gnome out on the street, came back, sat right down at the table like a proper man!

"Me wench sold ale to the lot of them. She even brought me Basin-Famous-Shetlin-Keg out to the Kobald. We was running low on booze after that, so I loaded a bolt in the crossbow and waited for the fight. When the dwarf passed out a few minutes later, this half-elf steps out of the shadows and tells the crowd to go away. Next thing I know, a stool flies over my head and breaks my tip jar. When I look back, there's a dead guy on the floor with the Kobald on his chest and this guy on the ceiling shooting black fire out of his hands. I took a shot and hit the savage. Then it was over, just like that. The ones that were up dragged the ones that were down out in the street and I locked the door behind them. Good riddance.

"The weirdest part was the savage. He took the pants from three of the dogs as they lay dead in the street. Mayhaps he would've done more, but his mates led him off toward the middle wharf. Savages in the streets, constible!"
